There are so many activities in Taipei that offer many ways to be active, especially when it comes to outdoors activities. I always tell people one of the best things about Taipei is the coexistence of modern city life with beautiful natural scenery.
Reach to Teach events are a great way for all of our teachers to meet and greet each other, as well as meeting the recruiters that they are working with. If you have just arrived in Taiwan this is a great way to make new friends. Been here for a while? Then come and enjoy a fun event.
Your time abroad isn’t all about teaching. You’ve got to get out and play, too. And if you’re anything like me, the lure of the mountains will have you out exploring and hiking in Taiwan as often as you possibly can. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or completely new to it, and whether you’re looking for a quick half-day jaunt through dense, muggy jungles or a multi-day expedition up an epic snowy peak, Taiwan is truly a hiker’s paradise.
So I imagine that most of you have ‘done’ 101: the tallest building in Taipei, but have any of you conquered the tallest mountain in Taipei? Well, now’s you’re chance! Come join us on June 19th for a trip to Yangmingshan National Park where we will hike up Taipei’s tallest peak, Mount Qixing.
